Overview
Jess Cussen Graphic Design was hired by Northern Territory Government, Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities (TFHC) to design and layout their annual report for the 2021-22 financial year. The report was 240 pages long and consisted of 13 chapters. The project was completed within a timeframe of 4 weeks and involved 5 rounds of revisions.
Objectives
The objective of the project was to create a visually appealing and professional design for the annual report that accurately represented the work of TFHC throughout the financial year. This included highlighting important data and statistics, as well as creating clear and easy-to-read charts and graphs.
Process
The project began with an initial consultation between TFHC and Jess Cussen Graphic Design to discuss the goals and objectives of the annual report. Jess Cussen Graphic Design then started of an initial ‘look and feel’, incorporating the branding and style guidelines of TFHC.
After creating an initial ‘look and feel’, the first round of revisions were conducted. TFHC provided feedback and suggestions which Jess Cussen Graphic Design incorporated into the design.
The additional revisions were minor text changes made by TFHC until the final design and layout was approved.
Challenges
One of the main challenges faced during the project was the sheer size of the report. With 240 pages and 13 chapters, it was a massive undertaking to ensure that each page was designed professionally and accurately represented the information being presented.
Another challenge was the tight timeframe for completing the project. Jess Cussen Graphic Design ensured the project was completed within the given timeframe by working efficiently and effectively, while maintaining a high standard of design quality.

Results and Conclusion
